MidexPro: Try before you buy
|
With most commercial software packages you have to buy "blind"
or rely on a colleague with a copy to find out how it
works before committing yourself. Alternatively a software company
may offer a "demo" to entice you, however these are
usually so cut down they are of little use for evaluation, or they
send an expensive salesman who shows you only those features the company wants you to see, conveniently avoiding any difficult areas - you only discover the problems after you
have paid!
With MidexPro you can try the full
working package at your leisure, by installing a copy,
with all options, on your own computer. It even comes with the
MidexPro tour a
flash movie to get you up and running quickly.
You can satisfy
yourself that MidexPro works for you, before parting with your money;
you pay only when you are completely happy.

How your free trial works
|
You can download a copy of MidexPro from this page. Each installed copy will work for 30
days without registration. For
continued use beyond that time your software must be registered
with us. Registering simply involves the exchange
of numbers by telephone, fax or e-mail; full instructions are
included on the Registration screen in MidexPro.
When you register MidexPro you will be given
the option to keep all the data, or delete all the data, entered
during your trial period.
The copy of MidexPro you download includes all main options; any option you do not register will be disabled after
30 days.

or Vista.

Microsoft Office 97 or later.
(full Office, not Works or Office Home and Student Edition)

Microsoft
Outlook as your default e-mail client (full version, not Outlook Express).
Only required if you wish to e-mail directly
from MidexPro.

Microsoft Office is not supplied as part
of the MidexPro package.
If you have enough memory to run
Microsoft Office satisfactorily, you have enough to run MidexPro. |
How to download and install the software
|
MidexPro is supplied in a single, self installing file, setup.exe.
Click the Download button below and either run the setup directly from
this website or, to save the file for future use by downloading it to your Desktop
or any folder, e.g. \Temp.
If you run the download directly from this website it will install MidexPro
immediately, if you download the file to keep, then once the download is
finished, execute setup.exe it by double clicking on this file name from
your Desktop or Windows
Explorer, or alternatively, execute it from the Start button Run menu.

Download problems?

If you have trouble downloading you may have your Internet
Explorer or firewall security settings too high, this can stop you from downloading .exe files. Change your
security
settings to allow .exe downloads from ftp.midexpro.com. |

If you have a slow modem which is set to
disconnect if no activity is detected after a period of time, you may find
that the connection is terminated before the download is complete. You should
therefore watch the download so that you can respond to the Stay connected?
message before the connection is terminated. |

Starting MidexPro
|
Once installed you will find a MidexPro icon on your
desktop, open this icon and you will see five other icons, double click on
the MidexPro icon with the serpent to run the software.
Before trying to configure and run MidexPro proper, you are recommended to
take the MidexPro tour
from the Copyright screen, this is a flash movie showing you
how to use MidexPro - just sit back and enjoy! When you have been
through this orientation programme, click the
Training mode button on the
Copyright/User ID screen. This provides you with a dummy, scratchpad practice
with sample data on about 30 patients so you can more easily see how MidexPro works.
You will soon be ready to go live.
Don't forget to press
the F1 key at any time to get help relevant to
the task in hand. When you start using MidexPro in earnest, you
initially have no need to enter a User ID, no ID is required until you set
up one from within MidexPro's Maintenance
menu, so just click on Continue.
